Foundation Society - Pratap Vahini Samaj Kalyan Sansthan

Pratap Vahini Samaj Kalyan Sansthan, Gwalior which is a registered society has been established in the year 1995 with the main objective of rendering social public service to the poor, needy, down trodden and deserving population of the Society with the provision of technical education adn Dental care facilities. The society is rin by the advisory body of prominent persons. Society is also having Engineering College of repute in the township of Gwalior.

The epidemiological studies, world over have shown the need to producing the Dental professional manpower to meet the demands of different treatments. Various developing countries are putting their efforts to improve the oral/Dental health of their respective populations. India is not lagging behind in caching up the situation. Approximately Around 70%or our population, suffer from peri perriodontal problems. Around45-50% Population to have Dental care problems. Among Children around 45-50% have malocclusions. The incidence of Oral cancer is quite high due to various harmful habits connected witgh Tobacco. Around one third (35%)of cancer cases reported are Oral cancer cases. Apart from above various other aestheric treatment needs are to be attended.

The presence of Dental Institutions in India is uneven in various states. More number of Institutions are seen in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu in comparison of other states. Our college will be the fourth Private Dental College ffor the state of Madhaya Pradesh & will be halping the younger generation to step into this noble profession.

Looking to the need to Dental care facilities in Gwalior & Chambal Division of Madhaya Pradesh and in the adjoining Destricts of Uttar Pradesh &n Rajasthan, the societyhas established a Dental College for quality Dental care to the people of Gwalior & adjacent Districts including rural areas. The Dental College & research Centre is a non Government Voluntary Institution dedicated to the cause of Dental education and Dental care to the poor & needy population. The above college has been approved by Dental Council of India, Govt.. of india, Govt of M.P. and also affiliated to Jiwaji University, Gwalior.
